Oral surgery may be required to diagnose or treat injuries and diseases in the mouth. Biopsies can determine the presence of oral cancer or tumors, which may then be surgically removed (excised). Tooth extractions prevent or treat damage caused by impacted wisdom teeth or crowding. Surgical contouring of the jaw or gum line can correct jaw alignment problems, TMJ, malocclusion (“bad bite”) or other problems.

Our daughter has a very difficult time with dental appointments. For years we have struggled to keep her calm and engaged long enough to have her teeth cleaned and a full exam done. She recently had her first visit to Wabasha Dentistry and they were amazing! They were accommodating, flexible and so professional. She was able to handle the exam and cleaning with no issues. I’ve been going to Wabasha Dentistry for many, many years. They are all so friendly and make you feel comfortable. I just love Amanda! She’s always so cheerful and friendly. We have a common love for rabbits and animals and always have a great time talking about them. Many don’t like going to the dentist but I actually look forward to my visits. Dr. Durand is kind and has a calming demeanor and the new dentist seems pretty good too. (I’m sorry o forgot his name :( ). They are the best!

Children, teens, and adults should all see us for a regular checkup at least once every six months. Patients who are at a greater risk for oral cancer or gum disease may be required to come in more than just twice a year. Dr. Durand will help determine how often you should visit our office for regular checkups.
